    3. >From the McArthur Democrat-Enquirer, February 12, 1919 "MT. PLEASANT (Delayed) Artie STONE arrived home last Friday. He has been in a camp in Kentucky for quite a while. He is looking fine. J. W. JOHNSTON received a dispatch from his son Selby C., saying he arrived safely at Newport News, Thursday. He has been over seas for several months. C. A. SOWERS and Elizabeth ALLEN left on noon train Saturday for Logan and Haydenville to visit relatives. Miss Lelia HEINLEIN called upon Miss Florence WALKER, Sunday. Rumor says there will be a wedding in town in the near future. Get your bells ready. Mr. Jacob THURNESS is spending a few weeks with his niece, Mrs. Charley JOHNSTON. He likes the old home town the best. GREEN VALLEY (Delayed) Everet MARKINS had the misfortune to get burned very badly about his arms and face, by the explosion of powder, Sunday. Harley PECK and family of Greenfield are visiting among relatives here. Clarice CLARK and Wm. ROSSER, and Edyth DAUGHERTY of Union Ridge are quite ill at present writing. Dr. BOAL is attending physician. Asher CHAMBERLAIN of Buchtel visited relatives here over Sunday. Madison PECK who had his collar bone broken a few weeks ago, was removed to the hospital at Logan, Monday. Andrew PETERS of Athens Hospital visited Pearl KILLIE and family Saturday and Sunday. George BREWER and family of Luhrig are visiting among friends here. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Dolpha CHESSER of Knox township, near Albany, recently, a fine baby girl. PLEASANT VALLEY (Delayed) Mrs. Fannie KING and son Gerald were Athens visitors Monday. Mrs. George CHAFFIN is visiting relatives at Greendale. Perle REEVES was an Athens visitor Tuesday. Alfred KENNEDY was a McArthur visitor Saturday. Andrew PETERS of Athens is visiting his brother Lincoln PETERS. Mrs. Elmer REEVES was called to Columbus Thursday by the serious illness of her little granddaughter, Frances REEVES. A message was received later stating she was better.
