SOURCE: Vinton County Newspaper McArthur Democrat Enquirer September 3, 1904 "Mrs Jemima Johnson Dead" "Mrs. Jemima Johnson, widow of the late Henry Johnson, of Elk Township, died at the home of her daughter Mrs. John Barnes in Chillicothe, last Friday at the age of 86 years. Her funeral sermon was preached at the Christian Church here Saturday afternoon by Rev. J.T. Bridwell, after which her remains were interred in the McArthur cemetery."
