SOURCE: Vinton County Newspaper Obituary Republican Tribune February 14, 1923 "Mrs Henrietta Salts" "Mrs Henrietta Salts, aged 74 years, died at her home in South Richland, Wednesday February 7 from pneumonia, contacted only the week before. She was the widow of the late Thomas Salts, a bright intelligent lady and highly respected. Her maiden namewas McKibbon, she was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. and came to this county with the family when a young girl. The only living relatives living are: Mrs E.J. Fisher, Mrs PJ Brinkman, Mrs JF White neices and Chester McKibbon, nephew all of Pittsburgh, Pa' and Harry Cosgrove of Dunkirk, NY all of whom attended the funeral. The funeral seices were held Sunday in the M.E. church at Hamden, Rev Howeath of McArthur officiating, the M E Quartet of McArthur, Ernie Sprague - tenor, Allie Chatfield soprano, Mildred Moore alto, Chas. E. Carson bass and Miss Hattie Gill pianist, assisting in the service with appropriate hymns. Pall bearers were: Chas. Salts, Raymond Salts, Harry Cosgrove, Chester McKibbon, Fred Jarvis, Jas. Salts. Burial in the Hamden Cemetery; W W Tinker, funeral director in charge."
