The deceased was about 30 years old and highly respected by all who knew her. She was an excellent woman and her untimely taking away was very sad. Impressive funeral services were held by Rev H. E. Wright at the M.E. Church, Monday at 2 o'clock. Funeral director L.W. Thorp had charge of the remains. OBITUARY "Mrs Bessie Robinson was the third daughter of George and Mary J, Salts. She was born near McArthur in Vinton County on June 16,1876 and died at her father's home where she was visiting. June 24, 1906 aged 30 years and 8 days. Her girlhood and early womanhood were spent with her parents on the farm, and was therefore uneventful. When she was but a child of three years, her mother died, leaving the cares of a family on the husband and older children until he was a second time married to the woman who is his present wife. When Bessie was 18 years of age she united with the Bible Christian Church at Dundas, during the pastorate of Rev J. W Dennen. She was clearly and beautifully converted consecrating her life wholly to the Lord and his work. During her last sickness she manifested a beautiful trust in Jesus. She made the matter of her recovery an occassion for daily prayer and she was fully resigned to whatever Providence should come to her life. When she felt the apporach of death she expresed great joy in the prospect, bidding the family a long farewell as one settled out on a long journey. In the early spring of 1905 she was happily united in marriage to Mr. J. Edward Robison. For a little more than a year, they walked together bearing the load of life's burdens and sharing its joys in common, till called by her Lord and master, went away forever to be with the Lord. She was kind and gentle to the weak and delighted to help the poor and unfortunate. She leaves to mourn her untimely demise, a husband, father, second mother, three sisters, two brothers and besides a host of relatives and friends."
