Obit for S E Kirdendall Wellston - Samuel E Kirdendall, 87, of 153 Star St, Jackson, died Sunday night at Holzier Medical Center. A native of Vinton County, he was a son of the late Eden and Elizabeth Salmon Kirkendall. He was a retired salesman and former Wellston barber. Mr Kirkendall was a member of the Puritan Freewill Baptist Church. His wife, Edith, died in 1964 Surviving are a son, Lester of Glen Ellyn, ILL; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, a brother, Floyd of Wichita, Kans; a sister Mrs Mae Henning of Fort Worth, Tex; three half-sisters, Mrs Elsie Phillips of Hamden, Mrs Jessie Erwin of Glouster and Mrs Bessie Mathur of Oakdale, Pa. Services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 pm at the Rogers-Gaskill First Street Funeral Home by the Rev Allie Skaggs. Burial will be at Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm.
