SOURCE: Vinton County Newspaper April 8, 1879 Vinton Recorder OBITUARY "TIMMS- Elizabeth Timms, wife of the late Richard Timms, was born in Wood County, West Virginia November 21, 1805 and died at McArthur Station ,Vinton County Ohio on March 25th, 1879. In the 74th years of her age. She united with the M.E. Church when young and lived a faithful and true Christian to the end. For five years she had been an invalid. During three years her afflictions were many and great; but through all, she bore up with marked patience, never once having been heard to complain. In their many afflictions, this much afflicted family have the sympathies of many friends. And may the members of this family who yet remain, emulate the spirit of their sainted mother and like her through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, receive a crown of eternal life. JCA."
