SOURCE: Vinton County Newspaper Republican Tribune November 8, 1922 OBITUARY "Joseph Johnson" "Joseph Johnson son of Henry and Jemima Bobo Johnson was born in Vinton county on November 7, 1839. On September 27, 1862 he was united in marriage to Samantha Crow, also of Vinton county. To this union were born six children, five girls now Mrs Elmer Robertson of Charleston, West Virigina, Mrs John Schneider of Athens, Ohio, Mrs Ed Huffman of Indianapolis, Indiana. Mrs Charels Vansky of Zaleski, Ohio and Anna who died at the age of eighteen and one son Pearl Johnson of Columbus,Ohio. There were also 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren left with the aged companion , one sister and four brothers to mourn the loss of the husband, father and grandfather who departed this life at the family home on Saturday evening November 4, lacking only three days from the age of 83 years.
