S. P. Devore, of Elk township, has discovered a vein of iron ore on his place north of McArthur. Simeon B. Bradford, who was born on the farm now owned by Thomas Rannels in Swan township, is announced for nomination as Governor of Kansas. Two young men named Frank and Albert Shoemaker, residing in Richland township, were arrested, recently, for forgery. Both waved examination and were sent to jail on failure to give bond for their appearance at court in the ???? of $???.
