    2. Hello, Are there any Freeman or Leach researchers out there? Would love to know more about George Freeman's parents, Daniel and Mahala Freeman. Daniel died in Vinton Co., Ohio, possibly about Jan 1854 leaving Mahala a widow and 2 sons, George and and John W. Freeman. The following obit was printed in the Weekly Advocate, a newspaper from Newark, Ohio, dated 15 January 1914. George Freeman George Freeman, age 79 years, of Allensville, Ohio, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Edward Shomaker, at the Wehrle Farm on the Hebron road on Thursday evening at 8 o'clock. He has been visiting here since August and has been ailing for the past five weeks. Sunday, mumps developed and death resulted Thursday evening. He is survived by nine children. The body will be taken to Allensville on Saturday and burial and funeral services will take place there.

    3. Hi Bob, Daniel Freeman and Mahala are in the 1850 census of Manchester, Morgan, Ohio, Page 35. Daniel was 80 years old and born in NJ. Mahala was 46 and born in VA, John was 14 and born in OH and George was 12 and born in OH. I had been researching some Freemans in Vinton County. But, Daniel and Mahala are not part of the families I was studying. I just remember them from having researched them awhile back.
