    3. My thoughts exactly. There was a Broadway show called Pearly Victorious. Pearly was a man in that show. These men's given names are indeed Pearl and it's remarkable to find them in a specific area. I think Permelia was "indigenous" to the Ohio River Valley, mostly north of the river into Licking County. I'm sure there were other Permelias in Colorado and Alabama but Ohio seems to be its place of origin or at least its most common place of usage.     3. Hi, If you see a monument for a James Amos (Amous) I am sure which spelling it will be. I know that he died at Andersonville Prison May 4,1864.He lived in Pa. I was told that there is a monument there with the different spelling. If you happen to come across it I would appreciate a picture. Thanks Madge
