Sue, I just noticed you are researching the Welsh/Welch name. Do you have any data on William Dallas Welch? He married Elizabeth Wickham October 01, 1874 Meigs Co., Ohio. I have they had three children one is a female b. about 1876, the others Daniel Christopher Welch born February 12, 1878 and Cora Alma Welch born 1879. I believe William's parents were Timothy Welch and Octavia Suddith who were from Harrison Co., Ohio. Any additional information you have on them would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a great day. Connie Cotterill Schumaker [email protected] Keep genealogy free! Volunteer "Practice random acts of kindness"...... Connie, I am afraid I can't help you with William Dallas Welch. My line is from Rev. Thomas A. Welsh. He had 4 sons, but none named William. His only brother died in infancy. T.A. did have an uncle, Crawford Welsh/Welch, who lived in Belmont/Harris county. I don't know if he had a son named Timothy or not. A Rita Hayes was looking for information on Timothy a couple years ago when I first started. I can give you some information on him if you want. BTW, I want to thank you for the newspaper articles you have posted on the Meigs list......they gave me several valuable leads to my "missing" ggg grandmother. Chuck, are you connected with the Mr. Bobo that was the District Manager at Athens for the Columbus and Southern Ohio Electric Company in the 1930's thru the 1950's? He also raised Christmas trees during the late 50's early 60's. If so, my grandmother, Eva G. Welsh, was his secretary from about 1930 until she retired in 1957. ===== Sue Edwards CASE, CHASE, DOUGLAS(S), EVERTON, FRENCH, GILES, GRIMES, GREENLEE, HAYES, HARDY, HIGLEY, McABOY, McCORMICK, NOBLE(S), OAK(E)S, PAINE, SHEPHERD,SISSON, WELSH (WELCH), ZINN. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Thank you so much for this article!! I have been trying to somehow verify that Mr. and Mrs. L. W. McLAUGHLIN were in charge of the Children's Home towards the end of it being open. I also needed to know the date that it closed. My guess was way off because I thought it was in the late 70's. The whole article has helped me greatly in some research that I am doing. Thanks again!
