    3. Hi or-rooters et al: I've made a number of updates to my RULAFORD pages on webroots. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~cchouk/rulaford/ The plot thickens in that with the marriage license it seems that Edgar McMullin was in fact Edgar McMullen. What a hell of a way to start Y2K! Now I don't really know who that gr grandfather was. I do know that he is dead. :-) Cecil -- Cecil Houk, ET1 USN Ret., AG6I San Diego CA 92154-3654 mailto:cchouk@home.com ANDERSON - BLAKLEY - FORD - HOUK - KIMSEY - MOE - RULAFORD - SIMPSON Searchable GEDCOM: http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=cchouk See also: http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=dghouk My Nineveh Ford Web page: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~cchouk/ford/

    1. [OHUNION-L] Roden Huffman
    2. Huffman, Paul, J.
    3. Hello, this is my first association with this list. Does anyone have information on the family of Roden Huffman, b. 1794 probably in VA and died 8 Jan 1852, burial at Mount Herman Cemetery. Roden married Mary Beck 27 Feb 1827 in Frederick Co., VA and reportedly came to Union Co. about 1837, although he does not appear in the 1840 Census. In the 1850 Census, they are shown with four children - George,b. ca 1832, MI; John, b. ca 1837, OH; Mary, b. ca 1840, OH and Aaron, b. ca 1843, OH. I suspect Roden comes from a surname, but have not found a Huffman-Roden marriage. He would have been about 33 when he married Mary, so could have had older children from a previous marriage. My gg grandfather, Daniel Huffman, married Susannah Dysert (1840) in Union Co., but I have no information on him before that. I am trying to connect him with other Huffman families in Union Co. at that time. Paul Huffman

    2. Cecil Houk
    3. Hello Listers: There are now over 9.6 million entries in the data base of Rootsweb WorldConnect. I hit pay dirt twice today; once on my mother's branch of the Hotrum's: added two generations back to a gr gr gr gr grandfather. I also found a "tree" full of my wife's Anderson's. If you have not yet submitted your GEDCOM to Rootsweb.... give is some thought. Go to: http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/ for a look-see. 1. [OHUNION-L] Never give up
    2. Cecil Houk
    3. I'm sending this to several lists, and I hope you will read this as it is intended.... to help. Never give up! I've been on the internet for about 2 years chasing my ancestors. The real pay dirt has been found in the past 48 hours, and some of it has been right in front of me for those two years. In the mid 1970's I was on Instructor Duty at NavStaSD (Naval Station San Diego), teaching electronic navigation. There was something on all of the maps and charts that I used for this class: The prudent navigator will use every resource available to him. Gee! Why didn't I do this before? Well, I though I had. It was my wife who ran "Helen Clark" through the LDS search engine and found a match for my "Helena Clark"... Helen Amanda Clark - Rulaford - Burnham! At least now I know that Harvey and Anna Clark are my gr gr gr grandparents on that side of the family. The rest of that data will have to come from somwhere else. I got a lot of great data for a wrong spelling of "Nineveh Ford". Try this for yourself: Use the Yahoo "search for exact phrase", and search for both "Ninevah Ford" and "Nineveh Ford". The "Ninevah Ford" will get you a lot of hits for Fords related to my gr gr grandfather Nineveh Ford at Andrews U. I couldn't give a rat's rear end if they never correct the spelling of Nineveh's name. Even his obit in the Portland Oregonian got it wrong. But... I can speel it. :-) (For those of you in Rio Linda it's "spell".) Use every search engine available to you. Use every variation in spelling. DO NOT GIVE UP! Two years research went into my "Cecil Houk's Rulaford Connection" web page, and it all fell into place in the past few hours. Take a look at it at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~cchouk/rulaford/ The documents were scanned at 100 dpi so you need to be in the 800 X 600 mode, and expect slow loading if you are on a slow modem. Sorry about that. I wanted to make darn sure you could read these papers. I will be adding every photo I have of a "Rulaford" to that web page. Cecil PS: If you want to bitch at me about this message do not send it to any of the lists. Send you gripes directly to me. -- Cecil Houk, ET1 USN Ret., AG6I San Diego CA 92154-3654 mailto:cchouk@home.com ANDERSON - BLAKLEY - FORD - HOUK - KIMSEY - MOE - RULAFORD - SIMPSON Searchable GEDCOM: http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=cchouk See also: http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=dghouk My Nineveh Ford Web page: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~cchouk/ford/

I'd just like to check on its status. I don't live in the area. I didn't see a phone number of their web site and I haven't received a reply from the email address listed at their web address. Thanks! Rich Kelly

    2. This is being forwarded from another list hope it generates some interest. In checking Broderbund World Family Tree Disc # 4 Tree # 0233 I found you have listed Marvel Wells as being the husband of Florilla Beach. I suspect that is the same Marvel Wells I have listed on Disc #5 tree 3797. In Jerome, Ohio during that period of time the Beach and Wells family were entertwined thru the church. There were other marriages of the Wells and Beach families. I have sent an attachment of some of my files. Contact me if you are interested in more.
