However, they were in Madison and Franklin counties, Ohio. John CULLUMER, b. 1778, m. Marth Patsy FERGUSON, 1814, Franklin Co. Ohio. They had 13 children, one of whom was Mary "Polly", b. 1821, London, Madison Co., Ohio. My line is FERGUSON. Don't know anything about any siblings of John CULLUMBER, nor his parents. Likely they are same family, however. You may wish to try contacting: June Byrne. Last e-mail address we had for her was Junebyr@aol.com, but that was almost 3 yrs ago. She is the one who provided us CULLUMBER, as an allied family to our FERGUSONs. BTW, one of our FERGUSONs (Mary Ann) married a John CLOVER, 1859, Franklin Co. Ohio, and later came to Cowley Co., KS, (they were shown in 1880 census), and John CLOVER d. 1896, Morris Co., KS. Both Cowley and Morris counties are relatively close to Sedgwick Co., KS. Good luck Mary Gary & Mary Lee Presson Wichita, KS.

    1. [OHUNION] "Last survivor of N.Y. factory fire dies at 107" - Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001
    2. Jacqueline Baral
    3. Dear Lists: The above titled article appears in a local California newspaper, Press-Telegram; page A22. I'm transcribing the article to send to all my lists just in case the scenario would help someone. [Notes & links below] ********************************* "Last survivor of N.Y. factory fire dies at 107" By John Antczak, Associated Press BEVERLY HILLS -- Rose Freedman, last survivor of the infamous Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire that killed 146 New York City garment workers in 1911 and spawned industrial safety reforms, died after a brief illness. She was 107. Freddeman died in her sleep at home Thursday after coming down with a cold, Steven Latham, executive producer of PBS' "The Living Century", said Friday. The series featuring centenarians began recently with Freedman's biography. "Hundred-forty-six people in a half hour," Freedman told the program. "I have always tears in my eyes when I think. It should never have happened." Mostly women and girls were killed when fire swept the Triangle Shirtwaist Co. on the eighth, ninth and 10th floors of a Manhattan building on March 25, 1911. Some died at their sewing machines. Others were trapped by a locked door, and many jumped to their deaths. Bodies lay in piles in the streets. "It was horrific," said Richard Strassberg, director of the Kheel Center at Cornell University, which studies the Triangle fire. "These young women were dangling, and jumping out of the windows, and then were on public display in the docks so they could be identified by their families," he said. The fire remains New York City's worst industrial accident, Latham said. New York state appointed a commission that investigated factories and resulted in reform legislation, he said. Born Rose Rosenfeld on March 27, 1893, in Vienna, Freedman came to the United States in 1909 aboard the steamship Mauritania. She quickly went to work. Freedman told "The Living Century" she worked on the ninth floor at Triangle. "One day on Saturday, we smelled - we were almost ready to leave - we smelled smoke," she said. [There's a colored photo of Rose Freedman holding a bouquet of flowers with the caption: "Rose Freedman, seen in 2000, died Thursday in Beverly Hills. 2. Hi List I have this web site on my union co OH help web site, under "calculate birth date". So any time you don't remember where it is or lose it or your computer crashes and you have to rebuild you can get it from my page. My computer has crashed at times and thankfully, I had the important web sites on my web page. Also, if you want to know what day a certain date was, I have that web site at my union co help web site. For example, if one of your ancestors died on 21 May 1856, and would like to know what day that was -- Go to my help page, click on "what day was that on", then go down the years and click on "1856", go down to May and the 21st was on Wednesday. Hope this helps some of you. Larry http://unioncoohio.homestead.com My Union County, OH, genealogy help web site. So far, we have completed ONLY Claiborne Twp-- abt 900 people. We have begun Leesburg and hope to have it finished next week. If you have ancestors who were in Claiborne (and Claiborne, only for right now...pullleeeze <g>) I'd be happy to check the portion we have finished. Just a quick note -- we live in Idaho, so can't look locally in Union County. Pam Miller and Wes Blair

Also, we do not know if Elizabeth Louise was the oldest (b. abt 1869), so you should start with the 1860. She could very well be the youngest and had siblings move out by 1870. Then get the 1870 and finally the 1880. Linda, I am a Union County Look-up volunteer. I have already added your post to my list of look-ups. I will be happy to check the census and birth records here at the Union County Genealogical Society. However, I can not guarantee it will be before next week. I will let you know what/if I find. Kelly, Marysville, Ohio >> =============== Finally, another good Samaritan who does lookups who can help some of these people. I do know that the Richwood library, genealogy section, had all the census on hand for union co OH when I was in OH in 1997. They also have a small collection of books available. I guess some libraries won't get involved in interlibrary loans. The Ohio Historical Society probably has every OH census on hand also, on the shelf. It is a very large facility in Col, OH, just north of Grove City, and is nearly in the middle of the state. So for those who are willing to make a day or two of it, this is the facility to visit. They have death certificates, marriage documents, birth info, all on microfilm and sometimes in books, on the shelf, ready to look at and make a copy for 25 cents, when you find something. But you are correct, not all libraries have everything, so make sure you call ahead to see if they have something you are looking for, before making a long trip for nothing. What I try to do is get people started in the right direction to find info on their ancestors. I even look at my ancestry.com subscription site to get info for them that is not available to a person who does not subscribe. I often look up info on my various CDs, census indexes, and tell them where they can find more info. I get many more e-mails directly to me than from queries to the OH union co list, from people wanting info on where they should look for more info. I try to help all of them if I possibly can. I give them info that I have on hand. I live in AZ and use of the material I purchased from the Union Co genealogical society to answer questions. I do free lookups on burials in union co up to 1984 and also marriages 1820 - 1900. If someone needs a marriage in OH 1789 to 1850, I have that info also. So far I do all my lookups for free. But some have asked me if I have the census of 1880 on hand. I do not have it on hand but it is available at my Family History Center about 4 miles from where I live. They also have the Cox Collection of all the county histories in the US, one of only two FHCs that has it on the shelf. Then 2 hours away in Mesa AZ, that FHC has every census and soundex ever made. If anyone wanted this info they would have to contact me directly. I am very glad there is another person right in Marysville OH that people can contact for lookups. I may do the same thing as I get stuck sometimes in my family lines also. I am sure you will be getting a lot more queries. Again, thank you for helping. I appreciate it, as do all the others on this list. Larry http://unioncoohio.homestead.com My Union County, OH, help web site. Visit it soon.
