    3. Thanks for the information Linda M. There is no obit, which I found strange seeing he was one of the few doctors in the area of Johnston in the 1820's until his death in 1846. In other counties I have found "ledgers" as I can best describe them, which just list the name and cause of death and usually a next of kind. Death date that is recorded for Anson ROOT, came from a Root genealogy book from 1870, which has been pretty dependable. Do you know if the Archives have hours of business? Maybe I am looking back to far for documentation. 3. I'm sorry I don't think I answered this question about the Archives. Here is the info from their web site: http://www.archives.co.trumbull.oh.us/archives_contactus.htm Location: Trumbull County Archives Department 118 High Street, N.W. Warren, Ohio 44481 (Located in the Stone Building at the corner of North Park Avenue and High Street) Hours of Operation: Monday thru Friday 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Closed everyday 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. for lunch Closed Legal Holidays If someone lives nearby or will be in the area, it's nice to be able to go in & look at the old records. If that isn't possible, they take requests by mail only. Have you done a Google search. The History of the Western Reserve by Upton is online & searchable & there are ROOTS listed there.
