Marge, "The History of Trumbull and Mahoning Counties"- page 59 (Poland Twp.) refers to the widow Cowden and her sons William, Reynolds and Dr. Isaas P. Cowden. Isaac had a son, Samuel, and died 1855 at age 80. "Pioneer Women of the Western Reserve" mentions the following Cowdens in Gustavus: Truman and Eliza Simmons Cowden- page 373 George W. and Laura Annabel Cowden- page 374 Carol Jo. I checked Pioneer Women- no mention of Elmira Smith Peggy, No marriage listed for Collins/Stothart Gayle
