    3. In 1831, Joseph Custer bought a 55 acre farm from Frederick & Margarett Wireman and John & Mary Pfouts. Trumbull County, OH Deed Volume 29, pp. 45-46 Joseph Purchased 55 Acres John Pfouts, Frederick Wireman & Wives and Joseph Custer. To all persons to whom these presents shall come--Greeting-- Know ye That We, John Pfouts and Mary Pfouts, wife of the said John of Hartford in the county of Trumbull and State and Frederick Wireman and Margarett Wireman, Wife of the said Frederick of Brookfield in the County and State aforesaid, for the consideration of two hundred and fifty dollars received to our full satisfaction of Joseph Custer of Brookfield Township, number four in the first Range of Townships in the Connecticut Western Reserve in the State of Ohio, and which is also in the County of Trumbull and is known by the part of lot number 72, and is bounded as follows: said lands and tennements are bounded and described as follow to wit-- being known as part of lot No. 72, in the township of Brookfield, in the county of Trumbull and state of Ohio and bounded as following viz: Beginning at the South East corner of said lot and running South 88 degrees 30 feet West 11 chains and 94 links to a post, thence Northerly in a parallel line with the East line of said lot 46 chains and 10 links to the place of Beginning and contains fifty five acres of land--with all and singular the appurtenances and privileges thereto belonging to." 20th August 1831, etc. [Entered July 16 1831, recorded 17 July 1831], by Lyman Potter, Recorder. thereto belonging to."
