He was born 18 Dec 1863 in Vernon, to Thaddeus & Mary Moss Jewell. Surviving are his wife; 2 sons: Lloyd-Vernon; Lisle-Kinsman; 5 grandchildren; 3 sis: MrsClara Holcomb-Farmdale; MrsBlanch Keck, MrsMyrtle Nelson-Greenville. Service will be held Wed afternoon at McLean Funeral Home with RevLH Stebbins in charge. The Gustavus Lodge-F&AM will also participate in the service. Burial will be in Kinsman Cem. OBIT: OH-Warren Tribune 17 Aug 1944 MYRTA LAUGHLIN JEWELL: Kinsman; 78, wife of WalkerC Jewell, prominent Kinsman businessman, died Wed afternoon at her home, death following a sudden heart attack. She suffered a broken hip in a fall at her home, 2 weeks preceding her death. MrsJewell was born 15 Oct 1865 in MeccaTwp, dau of Silas & NancyAnn Johnston Laughlin. On 14 Jan 1886, she married MrJewell at Jamestown & the couple went to Kinsman to reside, spending all of their married life there. MrJewell died 9 May 1943. For many years she was a member of the Presbyterian Church & was a former member of the Kinsman Chapter-OES & the BayView Literary Club. Surviving are 2 sons: LloydC & LyleA Jewell-Kinsman, 5 grandchildren & 1 gr grandchild. Service will be held Sat afternoon at McCurdy Funeral Home with RevLH Stebbins-Congregational & Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be made in Kinsman Cem.
