The important thing to know is that the person whose grave you found, with a date of death 6 Sep 1902, is not Simeon Harmon, whose wife was named Lydia. He is Solomon Harmon, whose wife was named Christina. They are also in the 1900 census for Mahoning Co OH, Beaver Twp. The ages and other information for them are consistent with their obituaries (see my e-mail to you this morning, Jean - it contains all I found in census and link to the website posting of their obits, from a Mennonite publication). His obit refers to 4 living children and several grandchildren, so there are possibily survivors who still living in the area. So, are you looking for the person who died on 6 Sep 1902, named Solomon Harmon, or are you looking for Simeon Harmon, whose wife was Lydia and who had no surviving children past the year 1900? The 1900 census reference to Simeon's parents being born Germany confused me as well, although he and his probable brother stated in 1880 that their parents were born in MD. Purported father Solomon of Unity Twp, Columbiana Co OH says in 1870 census he was born PA, but that could be consistent with children thinking he was born MD. Incidentally, Solomon in 1900 census does state his father was born in PA. Looks like you had two volunteers doing research on this today, who both found same information!
