MrsClemmens was a licensed practical nurse for 26 years & was employed by Warren General Hosp when she retired in 1970. She was born 10 Oct 1905 in Detroit MI, a dau of Milton & Elizabeth Soules Poulton. A resident of Trumbull County all her life, MrsClemmens was a member of Leavittsburg First Community Church, where she had served as choir director & pianist. On 5 Aug 1927 she wed Francis Paul Clemmens, who survives along with 2 daus: Marion (MrsAlonzo) Lawson; Frances (MrsFrank) Plewa-both Leavittsburg, who are Tribune employees; a son: WilliamR Witt-NewtonFalls; 8 grandchildren & 11 gr grandchildren. A sis & a bro preceded her in death. Service will be held Wed afternoon at Robert Roberts Memorial Home. Burial will be in BristolTwp {Evergreen Cem} OBIT: OH-Warren Tribune 28 Feb 1988 FRANCIS P CLEMMENS-"Pope": Leavittsburg; 94, died Fri in his home of an extended illness. He was born 19 Apr 1893 in Bristol, a son of Harp & Estella Hickox Clemmens & was a lifetime Trumbull County resident. MrClemmens served in the USArmy Air Force during WWI & was a self-employed waterwell driller for 50 years retiring in 1958. He was a member of Leavittsburg First Community Church, was one of the founding members, captain & honorary member of WarrenTwp FireDept & served on the Leavittsburg School District Board of Education. On 5 Aug 1927 he married Thelma Poulton Clemmens who died 8 May 1977. Survivors include 3 children: Marian (MrsAlonzo) Lawson; Frances (MrsFrank) Plewa-Leavittsburg; WilliamR Witt-NewtonFalls; 7 grandchildren, 21 gr grandchildren & 4 gr-gr grandchildren. Preceding him in death were a sisters: Mabel Mills & Daza Lechleitner, 4 grandchildren & 2 gr grandchildren. The funeral will be held Mon afternoon in Robert Roberts Memorial Home. Burial will be in ! Evergreen Cem. Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund at the FIrst Community Church.
