He was born 23 Sep 1912 in Masury, a son of Sherman & Effie Hughey Betts. He was employed by Roemer Industries-Sharon. Survivors include his wife Mabel Childs Kettler Betts, whom he married in 1947; 3 stepchildren: John Kettler; MrsRichard Furillo; MrsWarren Burnett all-Masury; 2 bros: Vern-Masury; Paul-ColumbiaCity IN & 14 grandchildren. Service will be held Tues afternoon at Madasz Funeral Home here. {Interment in Brookfield Cem} OBIT: OH-Warren Tribune 18 Nov 1985 MABEL I BETTS: Masury; 69, was pronounced dead on arrival Sun afternoon at Sharon General Hosp. She was born 25 Feb 1916 in Sharpsville, a dau of Bert & Hazel Clark Childs. In 1947 she married ElmerS Betts who died in 1974. A graduate of Brookfield High School, MrsBetts was a secretary at The Sharon Herald & Roemer Industries before retiring in 1972. She was a member of BrookVillage Seniors. Survivors include 3 children: John Kettler-Masury; Shirley Burnett-Masury; Beverly Furillo-Austintown; 2 bros: Arthur Childs-SanBernardinoCA; Bert Childs-Geneva; 14 grandchildren & 12 gr grandchildren. Three bros & 2 sis preceded her in death. The funeral will be Wed morn at Madasz Funeral Home-Brookfield. Burial will be in Brookfield Cem.
