OBIT: OH-Warren Tribune 5 Apr 1961 ADELBERT H BETTS: farmer & life resident of Kinsman; 84, died early today at Mahoning Valley Hosp after a short illness. He was born 10 Aug 1876 in Kinsman, a son of James & Sina Hobart Betts. He married AnnaE Shumaker 14 Feb 1901, they celebrated their 60th anniversary Valentine's Day. He was a member of Kinsman First Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife Anna; 5 children: Mary (MrsClifford) Allen; Evelyn (MrsAlfred) Mathews; Betty(MrsElliott) Stewart-all Kinsman; Theodore-Youngstown; Fay-Kinsman; a bro: Boyd-Kinsman; 20 grandchildren & 38 gr grandchildren. A dau, 2 sons & 2 sis preceded him in death. Service will be held Sat afternoon at McCurdy Funeral Home. Burial will be at Kinsman Cem. OBIT: OH-Warren Tribune 23 Sep 1969 ANNA E BETTS: Kinsman; 89, died Monday. She was born 16 Jun 1880 in ColebrookTwp, a dau of Alfred & Mary Allen Shoemaker. On 14 Feb 1901, she married Adelbert Betts, who died in 1961. A resident here most of her life, she was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include 5 children: Mary (MrsClifford) Allen, Evelyn (MrsAlfred) Mathews, Betty (MrsElliott) Stewart-all Kinsman; Theodore-Youngstown; Fay-Kinsman; 20 grandchildren; 51 gr grandchildren; 3 gr gr grandchildren & 3 sis: MrsMyrtle Smith-CorryPA; MrsSarah Rose-Ashtabula; MrsHelen Bridon-WoodlandHillsCA. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, a dau, a bro & a sis. Service will be held Thurs afternoon at Baumgardner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Kinsman Cem.
