His body was found in the attic of his home by his wife, who missed him from his room. For sometime MrReed had been in poor health. Wed morn he arose, ate breakfast then went back to his bedroom. Later his wife found the room empty & started a search of the house. His lifeless body was found suspended from a rafter in the attic. MrReed who was formerly a constable in the twp, recently spent some time in a NewCastle Hosp in an effort to regain his health but was unable to get the expected relief. He is survived by his wife & 3 children: Wilbur & Losse residing in Hubbard; 1 dau residing in NewCastle. {Interment in Oakdale Cem-Hubbard.} OBIT: OH-Warren Tribune 12 Jan 1957 EDITH ONSTOTT REED: Masury; 85, died Fri night, in the home of her dau-MrsElla Reed Coonce, with whom she resided after 1 year of illness. She was born 7 Oct 1871 in Orangeville, a dau of Peter & Lamenca Ann Covert Onstott & was a resident of Masury for the past 10 years, moving there from Hubbard. Her husband Harry died in 1922, a son Donald died in 1917; 2 bros: her twin Edwin & Clarence also preceded her in death. She is survived by 3 children: Mrs Ella Reed Coonce; Wilbur Reed-Canfield & Losse Reed-Youngstown; a sis: MrsEva Langley-Orangeville; 8 grandchildren & 6 gr grandchildren. Services were held today at Kelley Funeral Home. Burial was in OakdaleCem.
