Born in JamestownPA, 12 Feb 1874 a dau of JohnL & Hannah Betts Quinn, MrsSawdy resided in Trumbull Cnty for 40 years. She was a member of Kinsman Methodist Church & Eastern Star. Surviving are her husband: WL Sawdy; a sis: MrsLottie Brown & 2 bros: FrankA & WB Quinn-all Conneaut. Service will be conducted Thurs afternoon at the home with RevJC Burr in charge. Interment will be in Kinsman Cem. OBIT: OH-Warren Tribune 19 Jul 1954 WILLARD L SAWDY: Kinsman; 82, one-time owner & operator of Sawdy Hotel&Livery Stable-Kinsman, died Sat night in his home. Death was caused by a heart ailment following several months of ill health. He was born 4 Apr 1872 in KansasCityKS, a son of Willard & Mercy Marvin Sawdy & had spent most of his life in Kinsman. A lover of horses, he had always owned several & for many years was active as a horse trainer. He was also a driver in numerous trotting races. He was a 50 year member of Gustavus Lodge-442 F&AM. MrSawdy leaves 2 nieces: MrsEdna Jewell-Farmdale & MrsMyrta Fell-Burghill. His wife-Maude Quinn Sawdy died in 1933. Service will be held tomorrow afternoon at McCurdy Funeral Home with RevRalph Thompson officiating. Masonic Lodge service will be held at the graveside in Kinsman Cem.
