MrJackson just returned from FL where he went in the early fall in the hope that his health would improve. After reaching FL he became very ill & started back to his home in Farmington, arriving there only a few days preceding his death. MrJackson was born north of FarmingtonCenter near the farm which he owned until his death. All of his life was spent in Farmington with the exception of a year in CA & a few years in Chardon. During his residence in Chardon, he was married to Belle Erdice & 2 children were born to them: Joseph & Vera, who now survive him with his wife & a bro: Wm Jackson-CA. Fraternally he was affiliated with Masons & Knights of Pythias. His children: Joseph & Vera Jackson are now enroute from FL & are expected to arrive ! at the home in Farmington & arrangements for funeral services will be made on their arrival. {Interment in Hillside Cem-WFarmington} OBIT: OH-Warren Tribune 13 Feb 1962 BELLE E JACKSON (MrsHenryA): Warren; 92, a well-known & highly regarded former school teacher, died Tues afternoon in Trumbull Memorial Hosp, following an illness of several years. She was born 8 Feb 1870 in Jamestown, a dau of Augustus & Elizabeth Erdice. On 20 Jun 1900 she married Henry Almon Jackson, who died 22 Dec 1924. She attended the academy at Gustavus 75 years ago & taught school in Gustavus & StateLine for 12 years. A resident here 13 years, she had resided in West Farmington 49 years. She was a member of the Cemetery Assn, Woman's Soc of Christian Service, Alpha Chapter 44-OES, Liberty Temple-185 Pythian Sisters since 1913 & charter member of the Woman's Relief Corps-all WFarmington. She was a member of WFarmington Methodist Church for more than 50 years & in 1914-'15 was Sunday School Superintendent. Her membership was transferred to the First Methodist Church here, where she had attended the past 12 years. Survivors include 2 children: VeraJ (MrsClyde) Stewart-! Warren with whom she made her home; JosephE-WFarmington; a bro: Carl Erdice-CA; 2 grandchildren & several nieces-nephews. Two bros: Star & William preceded her in death. Service will be held Fri afternoon at McFarland&Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hillside Cem-WFarmington.
