Surnames: Rose,Wylam Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/ZZB.2ACI/2642 Message Board Post: I have located Myrtle Wylam(1893),but she is listed in the census as being a daughter of George E Rose(1877),and Grand-daughter of Harmon(1844) and Susan Rose(1846),of which Harmon is the son of William(1820) and Mary Rose(1826),so without adding the entire tree and all info........my question is this. Myrtle Rose' mother disappeared by the time she was 5. George is listed in later census with wife who says it is marriage 1,so the likleyhood of it being Blanch is slim.Myrtle also has no death date,but she did exist.She was born in 1893. Now,at that time,what would be a reason for her to be left with father and grandparents?Death,divorce,abandonment??? I have lived in Ohio much of my childhood and remember this area and all documentation keeps leading me back here,so any suggestions on how to locate the where abouts of an unknown woman who gave birth in 1893??? The family was poor and I suspect if there was a death it would be in a local cememtery...any suggestions would be appreciated. She is of course not on SSDI as far as I can discover. What were the papers in that area? Unknown first or surname only the dates between life before giving birth in1893. Thank you, Carol
