Could someone possibly give me the address of the United Methodist Church in Hubbard? My grandparents, William George and Mary (Ryser) Stevenson were members there. I have a copy of their marriage license. It says the ceremony was performed in 1916 by (?) Chain? Pastor of M.E. Church. I assume that is the United Methodist Church that they belonged to (according to my grandmother's newspaper obituary). Joani H.
- ---------------------------------------------------------------- FORWARDED MESSAGE[OHGEN-L] Washington County OHGW: County Coordinator Needed Subject: [OHGEN-L] Washington County OHGW: County Coordinator Needed - ---------------------------------------------------------------- Howdy All: Washington County OHGenWeb's site is in need of a county coordinator. [ http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohwashin/ ] If someone would be interested in being the CC for Washington, please take a look at the County Adoption Standards and Responsibilities at the OHGenWeb State site: [ http://www.scioto.org/OHGenWeb/statedocs/requirements.html ] ...and after reviewing that material, contact either myself or Judy Kelble, OHGW ASC <jkelble@accnorwalk.com>, to express your interest. This county site is in need of immediate query development. The tools are currently in place to make this situation extremely easy, and Judy and I are willing to assist in making both the transition and the site upgrading happen smoothly. This is a high-traffic site (or at least has been so in the past) and could potentially require a miminum of one hour per week dealing with the incoming queries/surnames from Washington County researchers. (Gee, that's not a lot of time at all, is it? <grin>) Other site maintenance will be at the discretion of the new County Coordinator; however, the potential for implementing resources for Washington Co's genealogists is high. Patty Lindsay's Query Express system is in place as the query processing system d'jour - a very user-friendly system which has worked well in the past, and should continue to serve well into the future. Since there are currently no potential coordinators listed at the OHGW state site's "Pool of Potential County Coordinators" page [ http://www.scioto.org/OHGenWeb/potential-hosts.html ], the call is going out locally for a coordinator, and if none come forward with an interest, the call will go out to a larger audience. Call for email from interested candidates will conclude at 6 pm EDT, Thursday, 20 May 1999. In your correspondence, please explain your interest in Washington County, your current HTML skill level, and why you feel you would be a good host for this county site. While it is not required, some familial connections to Washington County would be a plus. SEND YOUR EMAIL TO: Allen Richmond, OHGW SC - sciototrails@usa.net Judy Kelble, OHGW ASC - jkelble@accnorwalk.com Thanks for your time! We look forward to announcing the new Washington County OHGW Coordinator very soon. Allen ==== OHGEN Mailing List ====

Heinrich Huet, 1813-1851 --- Columbiana Co., Mahoning County, Trumbull Co., Ohio" It has a great number of baptisms, marraiges, etc. in it. Hopefully, it will have the one you're looking for. >> Could someone please look up some information for me in this record. I am researching GEORGE ZEDAKER, reportedly born April 1815 in Boardman Twp., Mahoning County. I need to verify his birth date and to learn who his parents were. George married Julia Ann Osborn (Trumbull County marriage records) and later relocated to Paulding County where he died. Thank you for any help. Barbara Zedaker Faig BKaeZF@aol.com
I am interested in locating baptismal records of these two ministers who served the Boardman Dutch Church in Boardman Township, now Mahoning County : Lutheran - Henry Hewitt and Reformed - John Peter Mahnenschmidt. Hewitt's earliest recorded baptism at this church was March 23, 1815 and Mahnenschmidt's October 3, 1813. In my search for the parents of George ZEDAKER, I am hoping he was baptised before the church records were begun and will be listed in the minister's private records where I will learn who his parents were. Thank you for any help. Barbara Zedaker Faig BKaeZF@aol.com
If someone can look up a census record for me, I will appreciate it greatly. George Zedaker (b. April 1815), his parents and siblings: Trumbull County Census for 1820, roll 89 Trumbull County Census for 1830, roll 141 If there are charges involved for this information, please let me know. Thank you in advance from Tennessee. Barbara Zedaker Faig BKaeZF@aol.com
I was wondering if anyone on this list did look ups for either volunteer or for a fee. In a book on Naturalization records of Trumbull Co. I found the following names: Peyton, Hamilton Peyton, John H. Peyton, William The arrival date on each was listed as October 1854. William Peyton was my ancestor. He came with his father (John H.) and his brother Hamilton as well as a few siblings. I would be forever grateful to anyone that can lend a hand. I would be happy to pay for costs of cost, postage and time. Minden Shadle mshadle@prodigy.net Researching Barnes, Nichols, Remington and Peyton in Trumbull Co., Ohio.

I have been very busy as Joy has said trying to help her find information on an ancestor who lived in Berlin Center. I have even been to the graveyard where they are buried. I have decided to try to make this week's topic a little special. If you know where your ancestor was buried, or even if you just think you know, I will start a list of names to be looked for in the cemeteries around Trumbull and Mahoning Counties. I will try to get you a picture. The only catch is you have to give me the names in the chat. I will only do this for people attending this weeks chat. Our Topic This Week will be The Cemeteries of Trumbull & Mahoning Counties. I now have a complete list of them and directions to them, that I will share with the chatters. I am all so extending this invitation to the Trumbull County List. I am going to make the chat a little later this week. it will start at 8:30 PM EDT. It will be on irc.rootsweb.com, and in #OHIO if you have never been to a chat on irc you can find information on joining us at. <A HREF="http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohmahoni/index.htm"> </A>M <A HREF="http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohmahoni/chat/index.htm">ahoning County OHGenWeb Chat sessions </A> . I have been working on the surname of Bortz for some time now. I have been in contact with a few of you. I wanted to let you know a couple of things, 1- that my computer decided I had to much in it and it deleted everything. The hard drive was unhurt. But of course I lost everything that I was working on but not backed up. So there went all of your e-mail addresses and the lines you were working on. Please resend your information because I am very interested. 2- I have received 3-4 family charts and family group sheets for different Bortz families. I am anxious to fit them all together. Animate please send me your e-mail address. Thanks Nora borts@gte.net
Hi all. I am seeking info on the family of Frederick GARRETT b 1849 Appletree, Eng., m. Elizabeth Revill 1874. Three children born in Eng. thru 1878 (Mary Etta 1875, Annie Marie 1877, Emma Carleton 1878), then six more born in US (William Revill 1880, Alice Maud 1883, Susan Stewart 1885, Isabelle Elizabeth 1887, Ralph Edward 1889, Clifford Provines 1892). The family lived for a while in Hanlin Station in western PA, and somewhere along the line moved to Hubbard, OH. I believe they farmed near Coalburg. Marriages of which I'm aware: Mary Etta married George WILSON 1899 Annie married George WHITE 1894 Alice married William Toplis SEVERNS 1903 Susie married Carl Everett FINDLING 1914 Isabelle married Thomas FLEET year? Any of these names ring a bell with anyone? Thanks in advance for any input. Jan

Just found out that GGrandmother, Elizabeth Green(e) CLINE married a John BALLARD. I don't know when, however, her first husband died in 1907. She didn't die until 1948 and is buried in Park Cemetery, Garrettsville with the Cline Clan. Would you have any information in your files on John BALLARD and his marriage to Elizabeth CLINE?
