    3. Might it be that Myra K. Pelton was Myra Beers Haynes (I had a relative for whom the middle initial K. was mistaken for H. for a number of years; why not the opposite) and after Asa died she remarried? It's just an idea, but thought I'd throw it out for what it's worth. -----Original Message----- From: Gayle L. 3. Hi All The book Trumbull Co Marriages is for sale-I bought a copy in May while in Warren. They would love to sell copies to defer some of their costs. I bought mine at the Archives-about $60 including shipping if I remember right for 2 volumes. I think it is also for sale through the Trumbull Co branch of the Ohio Historical Society. I have the Archives address if anyone needs it. I also can offer to do lookups if I don't get too swamped to keep up<g> Linda Phoenix ---------- > From: MOGOH64@aol.com > To: OHTRUMBU-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [OHTRUMBU-L] Re: Walt Newcomb - Bazetta, OH info > Date: Monday, August 02, 1999 2:15 PM > > Mary Lou > The book Trumbull marriages 1800-1900. is available in the Trumbull Library > Genealogy room. 1. [OHTRUMBU-L] Re: Lucinda Matilda Graber/Craver
    2. Hi: As far as I know this was the immigrant: 1. Andreas Graber and Gertraut Muss [a widow] - Upper Hanover, Mont. Co. PA 2. Andrew Graber and Anna maria Bitting - same 3. Henry Graber and Christina Haas - same 4. Johannes Graber and Rachel Miller - went to OH 5. George Graber and Mary Magdalena Follweiller 6. Lucinda Matilda Craver My ancestor is the brother of Henry Graber. His name was Ludwig Graber and his two sons, Andrew and Jacob, settled in OH. His children changed their last name to Craver too. Henry's son was Johannes and the three of them went to Ohio about 1810 after their gfather died. Andrew settled in Canfield, Jacob in Austintown and Johannes was part of 'that Southington bunch' as my father used to say. I used to think the boys decided to go by themselves but I found out a lot of the people were married into the Fullweiler family and that was the catalyst. - the sons and daughters of Ferdinand Fullweiler. This is probably more than you wanted to know. Mary Lou

    1. [OHTRUMBU-L] Re: Ohioana Room at Warren Library
    2. Do you mean the Ohioana Room at the Warren, Trumbull Co. OH library? I hope so because I am going up there in a couple of weeks. I have never seen that book for sale either but I belong to Mahoning Co. Chapter of OGS as well as OGS. Sometimes they say what Trumbull is selling. I tried to find them on the internet but nowhere do they have a web page. I tried OGS and they don't say if the chapters are selling things either. I'll ask when I get there. I hope they have that court house opened up again. The last time I was there it was awfully hard getting where you wanted to go with the repairs, etc. Then when you'd get there the stuff you wanted was in some other building. Thanks, Mary Lou

    1. Re: [OHTRUMBU-L] Durst/Wert
    2. Thank you Gayle for the Durst/Wert information from Champion. William Durst and Catherine Rupp were the parents of William Durst who married Lydia Wert in Bazetta in 1850. Lydia is the one I need to find the parent's names for. I appreciate the background information. It's great to be able to put facts other than just names and dates on my ancestors! Bobbie

Then Nancy md3) our 2nd gr grandfather Asa 7) HAYNES ..she had no issue by Asa. I have tried to find something about Myra. She wrote articles re Trumbull county..she was historian for Pioneer women in Trumbull county..1798-1840. Myra was one of 4 BEER children of John and Nancy...but I only know of her and not much at that. She wrote the obituary of her mother..which I would love to find. There must be a biography of her...and perhaps I could find out about her mother and father and siblings..and about her...you'd think it would be someplace wouldn't you? Myra K BEER b ................. d................. m .............. TO: A. L. PELTON or Al PELTON Any help would be most appreciated.. Thank you, Wilma Fleming Haynes gencon@harborside.com

    2. Gayle L. Hyde
    3. Bobbie, I checked "Pioneer Women of the Western Reserve" for both surnames. Page 229 . in the section about Champion it says the 6th family to arrive were William and Catherine (Rupp) Durst from Juniata Co., PA. They arrived in the spring of 1828 with 8 children and $400. In the "History of Trumbull and Mahonong Counties" on page 556 , it says the first saw mill in Champion was built by William Durst on Young's Run. There were no Werts in either. Gayle

    3. Hi, If you combine that 1874 map with the index of land transactions then look up the deeds, You may discover a lot of information. Particularly if the sales were due to administration of estates. 2. Hi! I have a Combination Atlas Map of Trumbull County 1874, and on the Bazetta map almost dead center of the township is listed a plot owned by Phillip Wert. Looks like 49.89 acres in the northern end of Lot 36 and 55 acres in the northern end of Lot 35. Also, a Wm. Durst in Bazetta township with 58 acres of Lot 61. Champion map has a Charles, Daniel, David E, E. L., and William Durst with property. No personal sketches or portraits with those surnames, though. Don't know if that would help you much. 2. Thank you so much for this info. It saves me waiting for the snail mail to get me the info. I knew the dates, but not who performed the ceremonies. I had Rev Stoner's name, but not what denomination he was associated with. I'm beginning to believe that indeed there were no churches in the area at the time. Again, thank you very much! Bobbie
