My great great grandfather was Knard (Forrest) Eckenrode and was born May 25 1873 who married Emma Baringer. They had three girls, Grace, Ferne, and Fay. My great grandmother was Grace. I know that Knard (I have seen Forrest K Eckenrode) may have had a brother named Freer. If this may be part of your family please let me know. We might be able to share.

    1. Trumbull Co Ohio Marriage Record Index 1800-1900 & the Archives
    2. Linda
    3. I haven't seen it online. I do have a copy & do lookups as time permits. Also the Library has it & can do lookups for a small fee http://www.wtcpl.lib.oh.us/LH&G/emailref.htm Also I forgot earlier to give the list a message from Emily Varner the Trumbull Co Archivist. I was there in late June, & Emily asked me to let people know that requests are slower to respond to but don't dispair. The Archive hours have been cut to: 9:30am-1:30 pm and Emily has no other employees to help her-they were laid off last year & the budget has not allowed them to come back as yet. Am now out in CO and not easy to research in person, but hope to someday in not too distant future. I have a lot of info on this family and need to sort thru to give you more to go by. It seems that they were in the area before 1825 and I would like to see if I can qualify for the Early Settlers designation. Thank you so much for your interest and offer to help. I'll get your e-mail and communicate directly if you don't mind. Ann

The microfilms are available at numerous libraries across the country, especially at LDS (Mormon) Church Family History Libraries and online at: http://www.ancestry.com/ Censuses are available every 10 years from 1790 through 1930, except for 1890 which was destroyed by a fire in the Department of Commerce Building in Washington in 1922. All the Censuses have now been completely indexed which makes the task vastly easier than it was even as recently as five years ago. There is also the Ellis Island site at: http://www.ellisisland.org/ I would suggest you visit that next to see if you can find your ancestors' immigration records. Dave Williams
