I would like to know what your source is that proves Roswell Bartlett is from Massachusetts. I have the vital records CDs for all of the counties in Mass., and, have been unable to find anything regarding him. I also believe that Roswell is the father of Otis, but, have no "hard proof" of that either. Also, do you happen to have any documented information on their wives? Thank you!
Many thanks for your WALDECK data. My g-grandfather was not Jacob, son of Jacob and brother of Henry, and others. He was Jacob, son of Christian Waldeck and Catherine Siebert. Christian (b 1804) was a brother of your Jacob (b 1799). Both Jacob and Christian were among a number of sons and daughters of Adam Waldeck (b 1767) and Elizabeth Lenges. I have 12 families in my database who descended from Adam and migrated to USA within a short period. Most ended in Ohio, all were from or near the town of Heidesheim. My Jacob spent most of his life in busines in Elyria. The number of descendents of these people is amazing. Some of my data is from the town records of Heidesheim, from LDS data, and from USA sources. Frank Waldeck, Illinois (formerly Cleveland)
I purchased the Fales home located on Second Street. I currently have it as a rental property but don't let that fool you, I love it dearly. It is a kit home built around the turn of the century and is listed as being built in 1920 but it may have been slightly earlier. I have done some research on the Fales and actually have some copies of the original deeds on the property. There is a lady that I talked to regarding this family and I believe she lived in Colorado or some place out west. I will find my stuff and get back to you. Also, I think I have info on W.O. Fales if I recall. Darrin [email protected] wrote: > >Darrin > >My great grandmother was Mary Ann Elizabeth Fales who married James >Jefferson McLain in Southington Township, Trumbull County, Ohio. Hello Gayle How kind you are to help me. I am trying to identify the parents of my gg-grandfather Lemuel Anderson of Liberty Trumbull Ohio My gg-grandfather was Lemuel Anderson of Trumbull Co., born about 1833 In Trumbull. He is listed in the 1850 census one page from Nancy Anderson the widow of James Anderson Jr., as noted in the will of 3-26-1841. I have a marriage certif for Lemuel 1852. He moves to WI about 1855 and dies abt 1858 leaving his 2 orphaned children to be reared by Margaret Jane the undisputed daughter of James Anderson Jr. I have the will of James Anderson which identifies his 5 children. The problem is where the comma lies. The children are identified as Margaret Jane (Marries an Austin) Isabella, Mary Immanuel Silas and Nancy Emeline ( Nancy dies abt 1858 with out kin according to Trumbull probate. I believe that Immanuel is a bad spelling for Lemuel but none one else agrees. The 1850 Trumbull census lists Lemuel a page from the widowed Nancy Anderson with children Elizabeth (I think Eliz belongs to her new husband), Silas and Nancy Emeline. Oldest daughter Margaret Jane is married to Issac Austin. I don't know where Isabella is. The children of Lemuel Anderson are listed in the 1860 WI census with Jane Anderson-Austin. This would indicate that there is a strong relationship between Lemuel and Margaret Jane Anderson-Austin. I believe she is his older sister or step-sister Because no one agrees with me about Lemuel in the will, I have been trying to identify the children of Robert and Stephen Anderson. It seems that James, Stephen, and Robert helped settle that area in 1804 so I was hoping someone had a bio on them. 1. Lemuel named his first son William. A William Anderson married Christy in 1833. As such I wondered William might be the parent. You have now excluded him because the son's name is James and was born in 43. Thank you, Thank you 2. James Anderson had two brothers, Stephen and Robert. Stephen's 1st wife died about the time of the 1850 cenus. I wondered if maybe Lemuel belong to Stephen and was farmed out. There is no 1850 census for Stephen. In the 1860 he is remarried with a new son Lewis, 3. Robert Anderson's children Finley and William go to Wisconsin with Lemuel in 1855. I wonder if Lemuel is son of Robert. 4. Lastly, I wondered if my Lamuel was the son of the James Anderson Sr who died in 1849. Maybe Lemuel was the son of a second wife. .The Trumbull cemetery lists a James Anderson 1770-1848 and a Margaret Anderson 1876-1835 I wonder if this James Anderson Sr is the father of James Anderson Jr. of the Will. Perhaps my Lamuel is the son of a second wife and half brother to James Anderson Jr. of the will. I have attached the miserable paragraph that makes the names of the children of James Anderson Jr. so confusing. Because Lemuel is such a different name.........I think he is the Immemuel listed in the will. However, thilnking and proving are 2 different matters. Lastly, I appreciate the help you have extended me. The only reason I have written such a lengthly letter is in the hopes that someone on the list may come across the name of Lemuel Anderson. Sincerely, Moria
Would anyone have any history on Stephen Anderson who was married to Bestsy Mckinley May 1817?. He was from Liberty. HIs father seems to be James Anderson. My problem is trying to separate the 3 James Andersons that live in Liberty in the 1840's Thank you kindly Moria Mclean

Also found this couple in 1880 in Fredonia Borough, Mercer Co., PA, with 8 children, the youngest being 2 year old Jennie. All children were born in PA. You should know there are a few 1890 census fragments, but not in the areas you are looking for. Ancestry.com does have an index to them, with images of the pages. Mostly though, the areas available are so limited, people assume their ancestral areas are not available, and they're usually right. There is also an 1890 Veteran's census, with index. But that only tells the name of the veteran, not family members. If you have a vet living at that time, there is some good info on these censuses. And Ancestry and other places have tried to re-create the 1890 census using City Directories. That helps again only for heads of households or other adults listed in the directories. Good luck.
