The 1830 census for Greene looks like Roswell had sons Walter, Otis, and David all b. 1800-1810. Article in 1907 notes "Wallace R.(Roswell?) Bartlett b. 10 Jul 1828 at 'Green O', son of David R. (Roswell?) and Emeline (Brace) Bartlett. Married 1 May 1848 to Sarah F. Towne." Wallace moved on to MI and NE and MN. Census record for Wallace show his father (David R.) born East or Eng Canada and mother (Emeline Brace) born CT. Does this fit ok with current information? Would like to share whatever else comes up.

    2. I sent an email Thursday to Carol in the Ohio/Genealogy room informing her of the books if they interested. Bill D ----------------------- In a message dated 10/28/2005 9:05:38 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time, [email protected] writes: Michael Rea - I purchased the first two (1872 & 1873) that were posted on eBay on the off chance he is one of my Craig's or somehow connected. If there is a connection I will make photocopies of all that relates to my ancestors and donate them to whatever library or historical society the remainder go to so the set can be kept intact - the same goes if he is not connected. I have not yet received them but can make a list of ALL surnames mentioned and post it to the list should anyone want a lookup. Could someone locally on the list check with the Warren Library or the local historical society to see if they are interested in them? Granted, this may be a dumb question but I want to make sure they are going to a home that wants them. Sharrie

    3. If we can not find a descendent of Mr. Charles Craig, does anyone want to go in on these and donate them to the Warren Library? Together they are $50 + $10S&H (the starting price, but probably the least he will take for them), a little steep for me alone since I am not a descendent. I would however love the opportunity to view these since the seller does say that Mr. Craig mentions some of my ancestors, ie. James Burnet. I would be willing to go maybe $10 or so towards these, if we could get a few people together I am sure they would make a nice addition to the library's collection. Just a thought.
