Van Hyning, 87, of 25 N. Union st., died July 13 at Akron City Hospital. He was born in Logan County, O., and had lived in the Akron area for 50 years. He was formerly employed at the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. for 30 years. He was a member of the Christian Church of East Liberty, O., and the East Liberty Lodge No. 247, F&AM. He is survived by nieces. Masonic services Friday, 8:30 p.m., conducted by the Akron Lodge No. 83, F&AM. Calling hours will be held Friday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Eckard-Baldwin Funeral Home. Interment Saturday, 1 p.m., at the East Liberty Cemetery, Logan County, O.
