As kids we never had one specific "boogie man", we just knew that there was one hiding in either the woods or the barn. The specific legend that always intrigued me was the "peninsula python". When I "Googled" it recently for the Akron/Summit Co. History web site, I was surprised to find Summit County has it's own Big Foot too. If only I had known, I could have been scared of it too.
