I found him with his family in 1850 but the census states he was born 1812 Name: Daniel W Hinkley Age: 38 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1812 Birth Place: New York Gender: Male Shoemaker Home in 1850(City,County,State): Boston Twp, Summit, Ohio Household Members: Name Age Daniel W Hinkley 38 Elizabeth J Hinkley 22 Artraim Hinkley 5 Harriet Hinkley 3 William Hinkley 3 mo I didn't have any luck with any military information on him through Ancestry.
