He was a World War II Navy veteran. He was retired from Goodyear Aerospace. He was preceded in death by wife, Helen Ruth. He is survived by son, Jimmy Ray Selders of Farmington, N.Y.; daughter, Betty Lou Tate of Sugarland, Texas; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and very special supportive friend, Margaret Hudson. The funeral service will be held Monday Feb. 18, 2002 at 11 a.m. at the Eckard-Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron, with Rev. Dallas R. Billington officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment at Northlawn Cemetery, with V.F.W. service conducted by Firestone Post 3383. (Eckard-Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 330-535-7141.)
