F, passed away July 29, at St. Thomas Hospital, after a brief illness. Born in Cordell, Ga., he had lived in this community over 45 years. He had been employed at Akron University in the Maintenance Department for 11 years, last working in 1969. He had attended Providence Baptist Church. He is survived by wife, Mable; daughters, Dorretha Starks, Veronica Horne son, Michael Lawson, all of Akron; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, 11 a.m., at the Stewart & Calhoun Chapel, with Rev. John B. Thomas officiating. Interment Glendale Cemetery. Friends may call ThursDAY, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Procession will form, and condolences may be sent to 644 Sunsetview Dr. (Stewart & Calhoun, 535-1543.)
