Ancestry.com has Ohio death records from 1958 to 1998 as part of their subscriber's database. You can see their list of free and subscriber only database at this address http://www.ancestry.com/search/rectype/alldblist.asp?s=97 I have also visited the Akron Health Center for researching their death files. You need to set up an appointment and hope things aren't too busy because you will be working with the same files that the staff is using. The older death records for Summit County are kept at the Records Room at the Court House. These cover 1868 to 1908 but may not be comprehensive.
