Noreen, Sometimes you have to be careful about that "widow of". In looking up my LAUBE in the City Directory years ago my g grandmother listed her self as a Widow. Itwasn't until I got their death certificates thatI found out they were really Divorced. Back in the 1800's this was a big no no. At least on the 1900 census she did say the D word.
