Walter Backus (1st cousin, who I visited last week) is the son of Karl (Chick) Herman August Backhaus 2/15/1897 - 1963 and Marion Deise 8/11/1904 - 2/12/1999 m aug 1927 his parents August Herman Julius Backhaus 9/12/1856 - 2/09/1908 and Anna J Jutzluff (Guetzluff) 11/25/1861- 3/7/1925 This August was the uncle of August (who married M Drerher).
