Hello Barbara, If Elizabeth married in 1857 then she was born before 1850. If you found her in the 1870 and 1880 you have a fair idea when and where she was born. If she married in Summit County, she may appear in the 1850 Summit county census with her parents (Rhinehart/Rinehart). So look up every family of that surname in Summit County 1850 census. At least, if you find them (and her siblings) you will see where each sibling and each parent was born. Sure, what the census taker was told could be wrong but it is probably right. Then, check Summit County for land, probate and other records for this family. Look for the marriages of her siblings. No, I don't live in Summit County but my ancestors did. I found some info by mail, some online and also traveled to the county seat a few years ago to explore courthouse records and library records. Also, search the online FHL library catalogue topic Summit County. SMITH and Elizabeth RHINEHART/RINEHART, married 24 May 1857, in Summit County, Ohio. I found Henry and Elizabeth on the 1870 and 1880 census, but have been unable to find information on their parents. Henry was born Prussia and Elizabeth was born in Ohio, according to the census. > > Any suggestions?
