Hello Everyone, My grandfather, Edwern "E." LaROCQUE said that he was born in Akron on January 31, 1902. He said his parents died and that he was raised by an uncle who was not very kind. He did not give specifics as to the uncle's name, nor when his parents died. He said he did not know his parents' names. When I went on a visit to Summit County (Ilive in CA) about 7 years ago, I could find no record of LaROCQUEs in the area at that time, nor any birth record for him or death record for his parents. I'm thinking that I should look at guardianship and adoption records. What are these like in Summit County? Does anyone have any other ideas? Thanks, Collette
