Hello, I am anxious to find people who may be related or know of JOSIAH JACKSON WRIGHT, who was b. in VT. abt. 1826 & moved to Akron, probably as a young man. He married Margaret, last name unknown and their children were Mary who taught school; Carroll who was in the army according to a letter to his parents in July 1869; & Willie, a sickly child who died at age 12. Josiah was called Jack and was in the auctioneering business & also believed to be in the newspaper business. He was still alive in 1899. I will greatly appreciate any little bit of info anyone may have on this tough knot I've been unable to untangle! Thank you. Priscilla
Priscilla, I checked the 1880 census index just for Ohio and there is a Josias Wright b. 1827 in Ct., wife Jane, Phebe 18 who is a music teacher and William age 11 in school. They were in ED68, Port Clinton, Ottawa Co., Ohio. Does this sound like the right one?
