Reynolds was born about 1841 in Summitt Co., OH (according to his Civil War discharge papers). I have not been able to find him on the 1850 census. In the 1860 census he was listed with the family of William and Margaret Hawk (both born in Ohio) York township, Putnam Co., MO. He first enlisted for service in the Union Army in Sept., 1861, at Davenport, Iowa. After the war he married Amanda Jane Botts in Schuyler Co., MO. He died there in 1878. I am looking for information about his parents.
