Sherman Street is in the old South Akron formerly known as Goose town because all the Germans lived near South Street. The Wards that I remember were for voting as my mother worked in the voting booth for our ward. Sherman Street is near Concordia Lutheran Church and Zion Lutheran is downtown. I may not remember much, as a senior, but I remember where I grew up and where my grandma lived.
