    1. Re: how do I know what district to look for on the 1920 census for Sherman Street
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/DYB.2ACE/2368.4 Message Board Post: Frances - When I read your question, I knew there was an easy way to know districts/wards, but couldn't remember what it was. Senior CRS! Tonight reading messages I remembered. When the USPS began using zipcodes, the districts became the last two numbers. Thus, District 5, would become 44305, District 6, 44306, etc. Also, regarding Garske, etal., in the 1930s I went to school with Garske kids. We lived in Kenmore. Kenmore was a separate city until 1927/28, when it was incorporated into Akron. Kenmore had just built a state-of-the-art fire station with latest equipment, and Akron wanted access to it. The point is, if your group moved to Kenmore early on they would not be listed as living in Akron.
