I sent in for my ancestors dec. of intent, with the date and relevent info, that SKS on this list had found for me in a book. What I received was his final papers, dated 3 years later, and a note saying there was no dec. of intent. This would be for the year 1857. I tried ordering the records thru my FHC, but I keep getting the wrong years or the wrong type of papers. I would like to go to Summit County for research and I was wondering if there is a place I can go and look for these papers myself. I had also sent for a death look up for 8 people, and paid for the search, and was told no record of their deaths existed in Summit or Stark counties. I got the death index for Summit county at my FHC and found 7 of them myself. So I know records are out there waiting to be found. I need his dec. of intent, to get his passenger list, to try to find out where in the Isle of Man he came from. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you, Diane
