According to Ancestry's Red Book, 1867 is the beginning of death records in Ohio, however, those earlier records are incomplete. As for Probate: WAYNE 1817,Stark 1810, Medina 1818, Summit 1839, in other words, just about the same year each county was created. Visit your local genealogical library, LDS Branch library, or public library for addresses. Death records are at the Ohio Department of Health since 1908. Earlier death records are likely also at the County Courthouse Probate Office.
