    3. Hi Janean, I actually have a copy of an Akron map from 1874 showing that High Street runs parallel to Main Street, at least from Cedar to Furnace St.. THey both appear to extend farther south but that area isn't included on this old map. When I look at a current map it is hardly recognizable. It appears the most of the roads are different except for Main St., which appears it might have a somewhat different alignment in spots. Maybe High street was shortened and the block I'm looking for no longer exists.
