We both work at Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare, Northfeild campus (formerly Western Reserve, formerly Hawthornden). They/We only keep medical records for the past 10 years, after that they are destroyed. Due to HIPA rules and regulations, access to records are very closely guarded. You have to have DNA samples and a note from your Congressman, ok, not quite that bad, but it's close. Contact the Medical Records Dept. for details, but be prepared to be shot down. Author: judithinoh Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.ohio.counties.summit/5072.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi-- I do not see a website for the Society, but it does exist. The library there put me in touch with someone from the group a few years ago. Here is the library's contact info: http://www.canal.lib.oh.us/ Email: info@canalfultonlibrary.org There are several small histories with photos-- I have family from there. The Society published a great little book written by an elderly gentleman who delivered papers there while a boy. He remembered everyone on his route and wrote a description of them. There are tidbits about the families in that. It is not indexed-- he basically "walked" you down the route. It is helpful because there were no street addresses in town and it is hard to tell where your family lived. Everyone walked to the PO for their mail. Someone plotted the various entries on a map of the town. I used it to figure out my family homes. Anyway, that was called Nostalgia / Waldo M. Streby. by Streby, Waldo M. (Waldo Miller). [North Canton, Ohio : W. Streby], 1978. It was still available to buy at a small cost a couple of years ago. At one time the two corners touched (Northampton's S.E. and Tallmadge's N.W.)' but never overlapped in any way. The land that occupied both townships was originally in Trumbull County.
