Hello, I am looking for any information on Alvin Allen and his wife Mercy Allen. They lived in Brecksville, Ohio from 1840-1869. Alvin died 1859 and Mercy died 1868. I have a newspaper clipping dated March 1870 that states Mercy's body was moved from East Trumbull to the West Richfield Cemetery. I am looking for any information on this Allen family and to confirm burial in the West Richfield Cemetery. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It was the number of homes visited and that was the 184th house. No house numbers were listed on the census for some reason. But it was Terrace Ave. I cannot find him on the 1930 census I did find his naturalization papers which you can get by going to: http://www.cpclerk.co.summit.oh.us/welcome.asp Click to the right on NATURALIZATION RECORDS and scroll down, hit ACCEPT and enter his name. Apparently his wife and children were still in England. They are all listed. He was living at 291 Spicer St. in Akron which is not too far from the Courthouse and very close to the rubber factories. Spicer Town you can find on google if you search for it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spicertown Good luck Janean Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
