If you need help most clerks are willing to help you. I know they are here in monroe county. I hope this helps you

    3. My father's family is from Ig. My grandmother was a Zeleznikar but not from Ig. If you can tell me who your fathers family is, or send me a gedcom of that branch, perhaps I can fill in some places. My great aunt Josephine Dormish married a Martin Zeleznikar. He was not from Ig. Still trying to find where he came from. Her sister Anna married a Henry Zeigler from PA. Henry had a family before they were married. He had a couple sons... am only sure about Joseph, who was a mayor of Barberton OH. Josephine was born in Ig. Anna was born in Barberton. No info on Henry but have his picture if you are interested. ALso have photos of Anna, Josephine and Martin. I will be glad to share any information I have on these folks.

    1. Re: [OHSUMMIT-L] death record
    2. Maggie Kitts
    3. According to Ancestry's Red Book, 1867 is the beginning of death records in Ohio, however, those earlier records are incomplete. As for Probate: WAYNE 1817,Stark 1810, Medina 1818, Summit 1839, in other words, just about the same year each county was created. Visit your local genealogical library, LDS Branch library, or public library for addresses. Death records are at the Ohio Department of Health since 1908. Earlier death records are likely also at the County Courthouse Probate Office.
